  • Kofi Short (he/him)

After several years in NYC working in theatre and dance, Kofi is back in Milwaukee.  Since the theatre and dance communities were so deeply affected by the AIDS epidemic, he has seen firsthand the need for HIV prevention.  At that time, he volunteered for the Gay Men’s Health Crisis and Equity Fights AIDS as well as other organizations actively working for social justice.  It was a natural progression for him to start working in HIV prevention and LGBT health promotion once he was back in Milwaukee.  Kofi is a graduate of the inaugural cohort of the Wisconsin Health Leaders Fellowship.
