Room to Be Safe

Diverse & Resilient’s Room to Be Safe anti-violence program serves LGBTQ survivors of violence (e.g., intimate partner, sexual, hate violence, bullying, as well as religious, police, and state-sanctioned violence) throughout Wisconsin.

We advocate for and work with survivors of violence by providing individual counseling & advocacy, information & referral, safety planning, and support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer communities in Wisconsin.

Text or call our resource warmline at (414) 856-LGBT (5428) to connect with an advocate.  Our advocates can talk or text with you via phone or a virtual option.  In Southeast and Northeast Wisconsin, we can meet with you in person.

Please note the resource warmline is not a 24-hour hotline.  Rather, the line has advocates answering it Monday through Friday.  If you reach our voicemail, please leave us a message, and we will return your call the next business day.
