Jas Bass (she / her)

Anti-Violence Program Advocate

Jasmyne is a transplant from sunny southern California. She has spent her entire career helping people navigate challenging situations. Professionally, she’s dedicated most of her time to supporting survivors of domestic violence, intimate partner violence, sexual violence, transitional housing, and various medical needs. In her free time, she volunteers for a suicide prevention text line.

Currently, Jasmyne serves on four active Board of Directors in Wisconsin: The LOVE>Hate Project, Just Us of Washington County, The Washington County Foster Closet, and lastly the Homeless Services Consortium of Dane County . She is continually looking for more opportunities to partner with local organizations oriented towards violence education and prevention.

When she isn’t busy helping others, Jasmyne generally enjoys the benefits of the great outdoors: hiking, kayaking, and geocaching. Though still adjusting to Wisconsin’s infamously unique climate, she stays entertained in the colder months with spoken word and slam poetry, podcasts, and snuggles from her children & pets.

Jasmyne is grateful to be a part of a diverse & inclusive staff and appreciates the opportunity to serve some of our most vulnerable populations in Milwaukee County. Jasmyne genuinely looks forward to working with new clients; assisting them in the ‘soul work’ of processing their trauma, and collaborating with them as they learn how to live in new and thriving ways.
