Deon Bentley (he / him)
Peer Navigator
Deon Bentley (Known as Bentley) was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is a man for the community. He is an advocate as well as a change agent for the LGBTQIA community with a focus on “BIPOC”. After years of doing years volunteer work for various organizations such as Nu Phi Zeta Fraternity Incorporated & AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin, Bentley decided to turn his passion for community to a career.
In Bentley’s previous role as a prevention specialist, he gained skills in harm reduction, working hands on with people who inject drugs through a needle exchange program. Assisting people living with HIV he gained experience providing counseling, testing, & referral services. Having a focus on Gay men of color, his out of the box thinking for outreach events was used to gain testing numbers with that priority population. Bentley will be bringing all the skills he has gained to his role as Peer Navigator for Diverse & Resilient. Bentley will always continue to break stigma and educate the community.
