Program Update: Healthy Girls

December 11, 2014

Our new program year for the Healthy Girls program has kicked-off to a great start! We’ve developed some amazing partnerships in Milwaukee’s public schools and worked closely with community members who are championing and promoting our work. These relationships have helped us to deliver this national evidence-based curriculum intended to expand life options, reduce rates of teen pregnancy, and foster healthy appreciation of sexuality among lesbian and bisexual female teens.

 Recent & upcoming events

Recently, we delivered four Healthy Girls programs at Golda Meir School, Alliance High School, Project Q and a 2-Day retreat at Diverse & Resilient.  In all, 49 girls attended these programs with 39 identifying as Lesbian, Bisexual and Queer.

We’re excited about upcoming events in the new year at Rufus King High School, Vincent High School and Milwaukee School of Languages.
