Sarah MorganMorgan leaves legacy as Board Chair of Diverse & Resilient

Diverse & Resilient celebrates the leadership of Sarah Morgan, who has served as Board Chair of the agency during a period of significant staff, program, and budget growth. Sarah leaves the Diverse & Resilient board in June to focus on her new role as Chair of the Academic Staff Committee at University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, where she is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing.

Sarah joined the Diverse & Resilient board in 2008 and became Board Chair in 2011. Under her tenure as Chair, the organization doubled its staff, expanded programs, and grew its budget by 50%. As leader of the board, Sarah enthusiastically supported special events and programs. She participated in Diverse & Resilient’s social marketing program, Acceptance Journeys, promoting acceptance of LGBTQ people with her colleague Mark Rohlfing, Milwaukee Fire Chief.

In her academic research, Sarah has been a strong advocate for inclusion of transgender rights in issues of health care. She is active in the community on many levels, serving as a member of the Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission, and now becoming the Chair of the Academic Staff Committee at UWM.

Diverse & Resilient Board and Staff thank Sarah for her leadership and service.
