Imagine More is a companion program to Acceptance Journeys, addressing internalized homophobia in the LGBT community. Internalized homophobia, minority stress, and discrimination, are all contributing factors to health disparities between LGBT people and the general public. Imagine More educates LGBT people about the role that homophobia plays in our health and encourages the community to expect and demand full acceptance and support from people in their lives.
Imagine More uses social media, traditional marketing, and community events to encourage LGBT people to imagine and expect a world that is truly accepting.
Imagine More launched at the 2013 LGBT Film/Video Festival with a sponsored screening of The New Black, followed by a panel discussion with local pastors.
