D&R Announces New Job Opportunitites

OCTOBER 12, 2011 - A recent award from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention provides us with the opportunity to bring on new team members at Diverse and Resilient. We look forward to expanding our team of committed and energetic people who are dedicated to making our vision a reality. We want lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people to thrive, living healthy, satisfying lives in safe, supportive communities. Applicants must be eager and competent to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural organization focused on the health of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people. The work is exciting, engaging, varied, and challenging.

An area of growing concern in Milwaukee is the continuing increases in HIV infection among gay and bisexual men, particularly among African American and Latino gay and bisexual men. Our new agency positions seek to address this issue through proven public health interventions. We will be working in concert with the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin and Sixteenth Street Community Health Center.

At this time there are four openings for full- and part-time work: a full-time HIV Program Manager, a full-time HIV Program Coordinator, a half-time Data Specialist, and a three-quarter time HIV Counseling, Testing, and Referral (CTR) Specialist.

To apply for a position, please electronically send a current resume and a letter of interest for a specific position to Mark O’Neil. Your letter of interest must clearly state how you believe your qualifications and experience reflect a readiness to fulfill the job’s major responsibilities. Following an initial screening, successful applicants will be contacted for an interview. Those successfully completing initial interviews may be asked for a second interview and will be expected to provide at that time three references, including one from their most recent employer.
