Johnson Joins D&R Staff as Health Promotion Manager

This month Rodney Johnson has joined the staff at Diverse and Resilient as Health Promotion Manager. Rodney returns to Milwaukee after having spent the past ten years living and working in Washington, DC where he worked in marketing in the publishing field and in special events.

Rodney's work as Health Promotion Manager will have a specific emphasis on targeting and reducing tobacco use in adult LGBT communities across Wisconsin.

He leads the rm2breathe project and plans to achieve the goals of reducing tobacco use and changing community norms by supporting and networking with LGBT leaders in Wisconsin and assisting various organizations across the state in project implementation and capacity building.

Rodney will also assist in the leadership development of gay and bisexual men of color in Milwaukee.

Diverse and Resilient is fortunate to have Rodney join the staff. His skills with social marketing and his enthusiasm for working with community social networks are necessary to do the important work of LGBT development.
